Mort Sahl’s Warning to America

Monday, February 15th, 2021

Mort Sahl: This is 20 years too late, man. They’ve been drafting people like you for 20 years. So that eventually 435 honorable men in the Congress don’t even object, and nobody votes against the Un-American Activities Committee, and nobody says anything about the war, and nobody says anything about anything, and nobody says anything about murder in the streets. I’ve been crying fascism, fascism. How much success, how heady was the sensation, and how intoxicated with the fascists in this country to get to a point where they thought they could go ahead with this boldest stroke as killing him in the street? Well, obviously what makes them think they can get away with it? The experience of getting away with it over the years! They tend to get power drunk because they’ve been successful. It gets crazier and crazier. They’ve extended fascism without challenge for so long in this country, a generation since 1945, the dark days, this long night started with Roosevelt’s death. You can chart the whole thing and it gets to a point where a whole generation doesn’t know any better.

Robert Kennedy talks about a massive retaliation and communism and capitalism and vehicular capability. You’re brought up on those terms, man. You can’t even tell when somebody is jiving you anymore because it’s 20 years of madness.

As much as my Jewish friends aren’t going to like it, the German people weren’t born crazy. They were made so by their government. They were made in the form which is most convenient to that government, which is fascistic, which broke the backs of the unions and used the anti-Semitism as a dodge. Same thing is happening here. They’re trying to drive the American people crazy. I’ll tell you something: I think they’re succeeding. There’s great evidence in the barbarism of day-to-day life and in the lack of direction and the degree of a lack of mental health in this country.

I’m not suggesting going to a psychiatrist because most of them are sellouts too. Sad to say because they know better, but all they want to do is to repair you and get you back on the line to keep punching out Mustang frames. That’s the trouble.

We’ll probably never know …

“After November 22 I don’t want to hear about the JFK case again. It is a nightmare to work on, not only a labyrinth but a labyrinth with lots of turnings off the labyrinth. The best answer is that we don’t know the answer, and probably never will.”

– Anthony Summers 2013 (author: Conspiracy)

When it comes to the JFK Assassination, for many survivors, the topic is still taboo. Over 55 years after the deed.

Most don’t like to talk about it.

It’s as if everyone knows something was wrong but are afraid to acknowledge or come to terms with our recent past.

When Dick Goodwin was asked if the CIA killed JFK, he spoke as if his home office was bugged: “I never saw any evidence the CIA was involved in Kennedy’s assassination.”

Of course, that wasn’t the question.

There’s been many patsy’s to the murder of our 35th president, starting with Lee Harvey Oswald, Castro, Russia, Mafia, Texas oil men, anti-Castro Cubans, renegade CIA officers, derelict secret service agent(s), and ending with their last, final ditch effort official position: “we’ll probably never know.”

Fortunately, for history’s sake, the official government theories and conclusions have been unmasked and, although there won’t be any indictments, historically, a century from now, the assassination of #35 will be known as a conspiracy. A coup d’etat.

Not In Your Lifetime

Referring to JFK Assassination evidence, Chief Justice Earl Warren told reporters:

“There will come a time when testimony taken by the Commission will be made public. But it might not be in your lifetime. There may be some things that would involve security. This would be preserved but not made public.”

If Chief Justice Warren had his way, JFK records would remain sealed until, at least, 76 years after The Deed.

This would make even the most senile of survivors in their 80’s or 90’s.

Certainly no one that actually grieved the loss of our 35th President.

Even with the arrival of the internet and “early” declassification of some of the hidden records, Warren, essentially, got what he wanted anyway.

If you do a Google JFK Assassination – News search you’ll find a slew of silliness:

It’s a Mad World

Wednesday, September 26th, 2018

Rolling Stone lists him as their 10th Best Stand-Up Comic of All Time ahead of luminaries Steve Martin (#11) and Robin Williams (#12).

Mort Sahl is 91. He still performs.

Blackballed by the industry because of his continued investigation into JFK’s assassination, Johnny Carson vented: “tell Mort it’ll be a long time before he’s back on the show!” Mort, once a regular, was never on the show again.

Mort worked for Kennedy. “The old man,” Joseph Kennedy, paid him for his jokes.

For his assistance in his JFK investigation, New Orleans District Attorney, Jim Garrison, awarded him with a plaque that says:

To Mort Sahl

The Best Friend John Kennedy Ever Had.

From Jim Garrison, Jim Alcock, Andrew Sciambra and Louis Ivon

New Orleans – May 29, 1969

Thursday night’s NFL contest is a reminder of a what a Mad World it really is.

Minnesota was humiliated at home by the lowly Buffalo Bills. Not only did they not cover the 17 point spread, they lost the game by 21 points. That’s a 38 point misfire by the wiseguys.

LA Rams are 3-0 and on top of everyone’s NFL Power Rankings. They’re -7 point favorites.

Our NFL Lock of the Week ™ is Minnesota +7 @ LA Rams.                *P

*W for +7.5 line shoppers.
